Description

breadth-v1 · align-v1 · Log RETURNS, not prices — correlating two trending price levels measures the trend and reports it as a relationship. One window of 365 days, because a matrix cannot show time; the numbers move as the window rolls. Series are put on a common trading calendar first: Bitcoin's source dates a close a day later than the others', and uncorrected it reads as roughly zero correlation with everything, which is a calendar artefact rather than diversification.

How to read it

Last 365 days · average pair 0.76 · lowest 0.53 · highest 0.89

Every value plotted for a past date could have been computed on that date. Normalised series expand their window rather than scaling against the full history, so nothing here is drawn using information that did not exist yet — which is also why the early years of a normalised series are dropped rather than shown against a range of one.
